Technology: Safety Footwear

When it comes to workplace safety, wearing the right protective gear is crucial. Safety shoes are an essential part of this gear, offering a range of benefits that can protect your feet from potential hazards.

Give a damn about your feet. It will give you the opportunity to work harder and longer than ever.
More than a toe cap

Blåkläder's safety shoes are built around a custom last — developed entirely from scratch, giving full control over shape, fit, and construction. The goal is a shoe that protects against sharp nails, hazardous surfaces, and external impacts, but also prevents the long-term issues that can affect the whole body over years of daily wear.

In partnership with Camp Pro — one of Scandinavia's leading orthopedic clinics — Blåkläder developed a footbed engineered specifically for people who are on their feet all day. The goal: stability, integration with the shoe, and retained natural dynamics in every step.

How the footbed works

Weight distribution

  • The footbed maximizes contact between the foot and shoe surface, spreading load evenly to support the foot and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders

Optimized stability through the step

  • Engineered by Camp Pro's orthopedic specialists to support the full movement — heel strike, roll phase, and toe-off — with stability and dynamism at every point.

Preserved natural shock absorption

  • The foot already has exceptional shock absorption built in. The goal isn't to replace it — it's to support it. The right materials work with the body, not against it.
