How to measure your feet

To measure your feet in the simplest way, you need a wall, a piece of paper, a pencil, and something to measure with, for example a measuring tape or a ruler.

  1. Place the paper edge to edge with the wall and make sure there is no space between the wall and the paper.
  2. Stand on the paper with your heels against the wall.
  3. Put a mark on the paper where your longest toe ends. Do this for both feet.
  4. Use the measuring tape or ruler to measure from the edge of the paper to the mark. Now you know your foot length.

How to choose the right shoe size

Start from the foot length of your longest foot. It is common to have different foot sizes, and by starting from the longest, it is more likely that the shoes will fit both feet.

  • Add 5–20 mm (0.2–0.8 inches) to allow space in front of the toes.
  • The exact allowance depends on the shoe model and your preferred fit.
  • Keep in mind that your feet may swell slightly during the day.

These didn't seem to last very long. The lace guides/holders started detaching from the shoe after I replaced the locking laces. The bottom of the shoes aren't even showing signs of wear. That's a first for me to have the top of my shoes fail before the bottom. Besides the poor longevity, they're pretty good shoes all around, but I can't have a shoe that breaks prematurely.

I'll buy from an alternative brand in the future.

This is the second pair I have owned. The first pair were great and the second was a much different experience. The plastic on the back heel of one shoe sticks out and rubs my ankle raw. Therefore I am not able to wear them for a long period of time. The shoe lace mechanism does not release easily and it frustrating to get the shoe off easily. I’m not sure what happened but the construction on this shoe is much different than the first pair in a bad way. I emailed the company to explain my issues and received a canned email back with their return policy which I don’t qualify for.
