Faq

Our factories are located in Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and together they produce around 80% of our products. The remaining garments are manufactured at well-chosen ready goods factories in Asia and Europe. We also have a purchasing office in Bangladesh to secure the local production.

We have colleagues at site at all time managing everything from production to quality control. Our team members, especially product developers and supply planners visits the factories every month to ensure that the products are made correctly and that everything is on track. We also welcome our customers to visit. From our office in Svenljunga we have daily communication with the factories by email, phone and Skype meetings. 

All our purchased raw materials and accessories fulfill OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (product class II), which means that they do not contain any substances that are harmful for the human being.

By signing Blaklader Code of Conduct, our suppliers ensures to follow the locals laws for child labour which are not below 15 years. This is of course not a guarantee, which is why we continuously do both internal and third-party audits to ensure that no child labour occurs at our suppliers. We are able to achieve a high level of control in our factories in Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Policies and procedures for preventing child labour are implemented according to SA 8000, which is audited every sixth month. 

We prevent and minimize the risk of forced labour in the production by our SA8000 certification which elements are based on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, conventions of the ILO, international human rights norms and national labour laws. With 3rd party audits done every six month we are constantly working with maintaining and improving our ethnical work.

Blåkläder´s requirements are based on national labour laws and we integrate these laws into our daily work. The SA8000 certification is a result of this work. We also have a Sri Lankan human resource manager at our facilities in Sri Lanka who controls and maintains the work around the national labour laws.
